OCS of Greater Charlottesville

2018 Recognition Ceremony

Our Community Salutes of Greater Charlottesville will hold its annual ceremony on May 10, 2018.

About This Chapter

Our Community Salutes (OCS) is a non-profit organization created to recognize and honor graduating high school students (and their parents) who plan to enlist in the armed services after graduation.

Local citizens, veteran’s organizations, and private businesses donate their time and money to support events sponsored by OCS, including its annual Recognition Ceremony.

With a formal ceremony, OCSGC recognizes, honors and supports high school seniors who plan to enlist in the US Armed Services after graduation.

2017 Recognition Ceremony

In Partnership with ParadeRest Virginia. 2017 Our Community Salutes Recognition Ceremony, was held on Saturday, May  6, 2017.

This is a ceremony recognizing our Charlottesville/Albemarle/Fluvanna/Greene and other Central Virginia area high school seniors who have chosen to enlist in one of the uniformed services in lieu of immediately going to college or going to work after graduation. This includes those going active duty, Reserve or National Guard. We need to acknowledge the decision these young men and women here made to serve our nation.
