Social Media Manager – Twitter

A Volunteer Position

Summary

We are looking for help managing our Twitter account and content marketing through Twitter. We anticipate that as a knowledgeable Twitter user, you will need approximately three hours per week to perform a few routine and requested tasks, or about 12 to 15 hours per month overall. You will “own” our Twitter social media channel and maximize it’s potential for OCS.

Work Performed

Routine Tasks

  • Create, curate, update, and manage all published content (images, video, and writings).
  • Oversee design (ie: cover page, profile, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, and blog).
  • Work with OCS Communities to collect data, photos, video, event information, or other materials that further develops the OCS Twitter channel and post accordingly
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Tracking site and page statistics

  • Tracking campaigns and campaign results

  • Compile report for management showing results (ROI).

As Time Allows

  • Become an advocate for OCS in Twitter spaces, engaging in dialogue.
  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
  • Conduct online advocacy and cross-promotions.
  • Convert campaign qualitative data into plans for improving campaigns.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Twitter accounts.
  • Understanding of Twitter analytics.
  • Strong spreadsheet and statistical analysis ability.
  • Ability to generate tracking and analysis reports.
