In a patriotic showing that included the presentation of the colors and speeches from military officers, hundreds of friends and family members of 78 local soon-to-be high school graduates filled Pico Rivera’s A Mi Hacienda restaurant and night club on Wednesday. The club had transformed into a ceremonial space to show support for the students, all of whom have opted to enlist in the military. [more]

Windsor Central High School and the Conklin Kiwanis clubs were the “first to say thank you” to high school graduates entering the military.
On June 7, they hosted The First to Say Thank You event at the Windsor High School auditorium.

Forest Wan won’t have much of a summer vacation. Just two weeks after the Ocean City High School senior graduates, he will report to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
